Ministry Overview

Becoming What God Intended Ministries (BWGI Ministries) is a non-profit California-based ministry dedicated to worldwide leadership training and creative teaching and showing in practice how the biblical truths of the Trinity and the Christian’s identification with Christ apply to evangelism and the edification of the Body of Christ. We believe there is nothing more significant and practical than living out the love relationship we have with the Trinity, and the privilege of being identified with the Son.

Worldwide Leadership Training

Today, a large proportion of training for Christian leaders is offered in the Western world while much of the greatest growth of the Body of Christ occurs in the third world. The estimate is that 80% of Christian leaders outside of the U.S. have had little or no training. Evangelism

We partner with churches to offer the community outreach Creating a Healthy Family. This is a lecture that is promoted throughout the community, presented at the church, and invites non-Christians and Christians to join small groups to discover the Gospel and God’s ability to “reparent” adults.

We have a web-site that is visited by thousands of non-Christians each month. They arrive there after doing searches on the web on such issues as “life after death,” “dysfunctional family,” “religion and Christianity” and other relevant topics. They land on specially prepared pages that present the Gospel. In our interaction service, they can ask questions or share concerns with our team. This has been surprisingly effective. Just last week we had a person e-mail us that she accepted the Savior.

Currently, we have a team creating specialized seminars for youth. A desperate need exists for biblical and creative approaches for the youth culture.

Campus Crusade is very good at dealing with discipleship, teaching students how to get into the word, how to share their faith, and how to follow up with new believers. But we are not equipped very well to deal with serious cultural issues such as food and sexual addictions now so prevalent on our campuses. That’s where our partnership with BWGI Ministries has become so critical for us. Quite frankly, we don’t have anything that is more effective in dealing with these issues. Seminars

We present seminars in churches that show how Trinitarian truths and our identity in Christ applies to significant issues like addictions, family relations, spirituality, leadership, and the suffering that life brings.

Our seminars are:

Setting the Heart Free
focuses on freeing the heart from guilt and worthlessness in order to experience an adult relationship with God that is not based on performance.
Healthy Relationships
teaches healthy identities, compassionate listening, and other-centeredness, what it means to be made in the image of God, created male and female.
Healthy Leadership
biblically based principles of leadership for the leader, the team, and the congregation.
Addiction Proofing Your life and Family
addresses how to spirituality protects families from an addictive culture

Each of our seminars are followed by small groups wherein we train for free the group leaders. We provide counseling at the seminars and counseling opportunities for individual and small group follow up.

Educational Programs

As ministry consultants, we train students and campus leadership for a seven state region of Campus Crusade for Christ. They consider what we are doing a crucial contribution to their success. Read more....

We also train interns and retrain pastors for a several denomination groups, numbering about five hundred churches. We are part of a movement to revitalize ministry and spiritual life within these churches.

We are developing distance education through our web site and specialized training nationally for those who want to excel in ministry. Finally, we produce learning resource material for many within ministry and entering ministry.

Distance Education

BWGI Ministries has taken the materials developed over 20 years of teaching, presenting seminars, and creating books and tapes, and created a highly effective on-line distance learning courseware system to deliver the ministry content to students all over the world. A sample of upcoming projects needing support:

We are developing a world-wide ministry using our Spiritual Life Development courseware with Equip, to reach one million international church leaders by 2008.
We are working with both Campus Crusade for Christ and Conservative Baptist Northwest to train leaders for these organizations.
