Course Mentoring

If you are looking for assistance in applying the material from this online Bible study course to your own spiritual growth, you will greatly benefit from the exclusive mentoring feature included with our interactive course.  Mentors typically have been involved with this material long enough to have seen its impact on people's lives.

The function of the mentor is to answer questions you have on the material, and more importantly, help you work through life issues that will come to the surface during the course.  Your mentor will also be your prayer partner.  Make sure you let your mentor know what your prayer needs are!

The methods for interacting with your mentor are as follows:

1. In the introductory module, you will write your Spiritual Autobiography to let your mentor know where you are in your spiritual journey.  This is of critical importance for the mentor to be able to be effective in his or her interactions with you.  Please take sufficient time to write this critical document.

2. After you complete each module, you will complete and submit the module quiz.  This will automatically send your quiz to your mentor for his or her review and feedback.  Your mentor may ask you additional questions or assign you additional work, depending on your responses to questions.

3. Pose questions to your mentor on the student forum. Your questions will be answered by your mentor.  It is critical that you become familiar with the operation of the course forum in order for your interaction to be effective .

4. Use the Personal Messaging System (PMS) in the forum for private communication between you and your mentor.  It is important for you to go into the forum regularly so that you can receive incoming messages from your mentor.

5. Schedule phone calls between you and your mentor. 
   If you would like to use this method, please contact your mentor using the PMS and request a time for a phone call.  Please suggest some times that would work for you, and he or she will respond.  Be sure to give your mentor at least 24 hours notice.

The impact of the mentor on your life entirely depends on you.  We have provided a variety of ways for you to utilize this important component of your spiritual life development process, but it is up to you to use this exclusive feature effectively.  If you choose to do this, you will find that the course material impact on your personal life will be significantly enhanced.  Your mentor will help you experience true spiritual transformation in your life!  Make good use of this opportunity!
