The answer is simple: While most pastors and church leaders have extensive knowledge of the teachings of Christ and the Bible, it is very easy to miss the important element of the emotional impact of the truths so well intellectually understood. To some degree, this is a matter of the culture we are in. The Gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be effectively translated into the imagery of modern thinking in order to have the impact it had when Jesus walked the earth.
